Coby White
Coby White posts 31/7/4/1 line with three triples
Thu, Mar 13, 2025, 5:39 PM
Coby White led the Bulls with 31 points (12-of-24 FGs), seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and three three-pointers in a 116-110 win over the Nets on Thursday.
Analysis: White has been on quite the impressive run recently. Chicago has won five consecutive games, and White has averaged 30 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, one steal and 3.2 three-pointers per game while shooting 48.6 percent from the field and and 89.7 percent from the free throw line. Those averages have him providing third-round value during this stretch. Chicago now sit 1.5 games behind Miami for the ninth seed in the East, and if White keeps playing like this, they may be able to move up the standings before the season ends.
Julian Phillips
Julian Phillips chips in 16/7/5 line off bench
Thu, Mar 13, 2025, 5:24 PM
Julian Phillips provided a boost off the bench with 16 points (5-of-10 FGs), seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and two three-pointers against the Nets on Thursday.
Analysis: Phillips hasn't contributed much since being drafted with the No. 35 pick in 2023, but everything came together on Thursday. He played a career-high 34 minutes and set new career-highs for points, rebounds and assists. It was an impressive performance from the 21-year-old forward, and it would be surprising if Chicago didn't further explore his upside over the final month of the season. The production will be inconsistent, but he should have a consistent role moving forward.
Kevin Huerter
CHI starting Jones, White, Huerter, Matas, Vucevic
Thu, Mar 13, 2025, 1:41 PM
Chicago Bulls
Tre Jones, Coby White, Kevin Huerter, Matas Buzelis and Nikola Vucevic will start against the Nets on Thursday.
Analysis: Huerter will replace Josh Giddey (ankle) in the starting lineup. Giddey may miss a few games, but an official timeline for him isn't clear. Vucevic will return to the starting unit in place of Zach Collins, who had been starting while Vucevic was out. Vucevic is expected to be limited to 28-30 minutes, so Collins should still play a significant role for a reserve.
Josh Giddey
‘Optimism' Josh Giddey could return during trip
Thu, Mar 13, 2025, 12:30 PM
Julia Poe
Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said there is “some optimism” that Josh Giddey could return during the team's upcoming six-game road trip.
Analysis: After Thursday's game against Brooklyn, Chicago will head out on the road for six straight games, with four of those coming next week. With Lonzo Ball (wrist) still sidelined, Tre Jones will remain in the starting unit until either Giddey or Ball is back.
Lonzo Ball
Lonzo Ball (wrist) downgraded to out vs. Brooklyn
Thu, Mar 13, 2025, 12:24 PM
Drew Stevens
Lonzo Ball (wrist) has been downgraded to out against the Nets on Thursday.
Analysis: As expected, Ball will remain sidelined for a sixth-straight game. Tre Jones should remain in the starting unit, and he has played well as a starter over Chicago's last four games, averaging 13 points, 5.3 rebounds and six assists during this stretch.
Lonzo Ball
Lonzo Ball (wrist) doubtful Thursday vs. Brooklyn
Wed, Mar 12, 2025, 10:36 AM
NBA Injury Report
Lonzo Ball (wrist) is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Nets.
Analysis: Ball has missed the Bulls' last five games with a sprained right wrist and appears likely to miss a sixth on Thursday. With Josh Giddey (ankle) also unlikely to play, the Bulls will rely more on Tre Jones (who has started with Ball sidelined) and Kevin Huerter on the perimeter alongside Coby White.
Josh Giddey
Donovan: Josh Giddey will be out for “a while”
Wed, Mar 12, 2025, 8:31 AM
Billy Donovan told reporters Wednesday that Josh Giddey (ankle) will be “out for a little bit.”
Analysis: Giddey tweaked his ankle on Monday and it appears like he'll miss more than a couple of games. Tre Jones can step into a larger role while Giddey recovers.
Patrick Williams
Patrick Williams plays 13 minutes in return
Mon, Mar 10, 2025, 5:04 PM
Patrick Williams finished Monday's win over the Pacers with two points (1-of-3 FGs), three rebounds and one assist in 13 minutes.
Analysis: Monday's game was Williams's first since February 12, and he was restricted to 24 minutes. Unfortunately for those who have him rostered, he finished nowhere near that number. Williams has not provided much fantasy value this season, and when healthy, he hasn't done enough to earn starters' minutes consistently. There's a reason why Williams is only rostered in four percent of Yahoo! leagues.
Nikola Vucevic
Nikola Vucevic posts double-double in return
Mon, Mar 10, 2025, 5:02 PM
Nikola Vucevic amassed 11 points (5-of-8 FGs), 11 rebounds, one assist and one three-pointer in 24 minutes in Monday's win over the Pacers.
Analysis: Appearing in his first game since February 22, Vucevic was used in a reserve role for just the second time in his Bulls career. That didn't prevent him from recording his 195th double-double as a Bull, moving into third on the franchise's all-time list behind Artis Gilmore and Scottie Pippen. Zach Collins retained his spot in the starting lineup and played 23 minutes, finishing with seven points, nine rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer. When Vooch returns to the starting lineup remains to be seen. But this may be where he stays in that role until he's freed from any restrictions.
Josh Giddey
Josh Giddey (ankle) exits during fourth quarter
Mon, Mar 10, 2025, 5:02 PM
Josh Giddey (ankle) accounted for 29 points (11-of-18 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), 10 rebounds, four assists, one block and two three-pointers in 28 minutes in Monday's win over the Pacers.
Analysis: Seemingly on his way to the best scoring effort of his NBA career, Giddey's night ended disappointingly during the fourth quarter. He injured his right ankle after landing on the foot of a Pacers defender and did not return from the locker room. What's concerning is that this is the same ankle Giddey injured during Australia's final game during the Paris Olympics, which limited him during the preseason. If he has to miss time, Kevin Huerter (13/4/1/3/1 with three three-pointers in 34 minutes) will have added importance, possibly as Giddey's replacement in the starting lineup.
Coby White
Coby White tallies 29 points, seven rebounds
Mon, Mar 10, 2025, 5:00 PM
Coby White recorded 29 points (11-of-20 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), seven rebounds, four assists and three three-pointers in 34 minutes in Monday's win over the Pacers.
Analysis: The tandem of White and Josh Giddey was outstanding on Monday, as they combined to score 58 points. Over the past month, Coby has provided fifth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. That production is two rounds better than what he's done this season, and the Bulls may need a little more from White in the short term. Giddey injured his right ankle during the fourth quarter, and the Bulls have also been without Lonzo Ball and Ayo Dosunmu. With Dosunmu out for the season and Ball not having a timeline for return, look for White's usage to increase if Giddey misses time.
Coby White
Coby White (toe) available Monday vs. Pacers
Mon, Mar 10, 2025, 12:48 PM
NBA Injury Report
Coby White (toe) is available for Monday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: White is officially available after being listed as probable on the initial injury report. He'll assume his usual role as one of the Bulls' starting guards. Fantasy managers with White rostered need to ensure he's in their active lineups before tipoff.
Nikola Vucevic
Nikola Vucevic, Patrick Williams on minutes limit
Mon, Mar 10, 2025, 12:35 PM
Will Gottlieb
Nikola Vucevic (calf) will be limited to 26-28 minutes, while Patrick Williams (quad) will be limited to 24 minutes against the Pacers on Monday.
Analysis: Vucevic will be back after missing Chicago's last seven games, but he won't be able to play a full role. Zach Collins, who had been starting in place of Vucevic, will still play a significant part off the bench. Williams, who hasn't played since before the All-Star break, will also be limited, though he played fewer than 20 minutes in Chicago's last three games before the break.
Lonzo Ball
Lonzo Ball (wrist) out Monday against Pacers
Mon, Mar 10, 2025, 12:28 PM
Lonzo Ball (wrist) is out for Monday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: Ball is set to miss his fifth-straight game with a wrist injury. Tre Jones will likely continue to start against Indiana in the 27-year-old point guard's absence.
Patrick Williams
Patrick Williams (quad) available Monday vs. IND
Mon, Mar 10, 2025, 12:24 PM
Patrick Williams (quad) is available for Monday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: Williams is back after missing the last nine games in a row with a quad injury. The 23-year-old power forward should get some minutes in his first game back, but not enough to have fantasy value.
Nikola Vucevic
Nikola Vucevic (calf) available Monday vs. IND
Mon, Mar 10, 2025, 6:37 AM
K.C. Johnson on Twitter
Nikola Vucevic (calf) is available for Monday's matchup with the Pacers.
Analysis: Vooch has missed seven straight games, and it's unclear if he'll face any restrictions after such a long layoff. Zach Collins has been excellent as a fill-in at center, but he is headed back to the bench. Fantasy managers should hang onto Collins in case Vucevic suffers any setbacks.
Coby White
Coby White (toe) probable Monday vs. Pacers
Sun, Mar 9, 2025, 6:54 AM
Coby White (toe) is probable for Monday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: White has scored at least 21 points in five straight games and appears set to continue being a key force on offense for the Bulls on Monday.
Lonzo Ball
Lonzo Ball (wrist) doubtful vs. Pacers Monday
Sun, Mar 9, 2025, 6:47 AM
Lonzo Ball (wrist) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Pacers.
Analysis: Ball will likely miss his fifth straight game on Monday. Tre Jones should maintain his spot as a fill-in starter against Indiana.
Nikola Vucevic
Nikola Vucevic, Patrick Williams questionable Mon.
Sun, Mar 9, 2025, 6:41 AM
Nikola Vucevic (calf) and Patrick Williams (quad) are questionable for Monday's matchup with the Pacers.
Analysis: Zach Collins will continue filling in for Vucevic if he's ruled out. A host of reserve wings could take on Williams' minutes if he misses a 10th straight game.
Josh Giddey
Josh Giddey triple-doubles in win over Heat
Sat, Mar 8, 2025, 4:33 PM
Josh Giddey finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, a steal, a block and three triples across 37 minutes in Saturday's win over Miami.
Analysis: Giddey stuffed the stat sheet yet again as he produced his third triple-double of the 2024-25 campaign. He's enjoying a productive first season in the Windy City, and he's been even better over his last eight games with averages of 20 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in that span.
